Algeria 1-1 Nigeria: Eagles Maintain Unbeaten Record In World Cup Qualifier

Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained their unbeaten record in the Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier, after a late goal from Algeria gave them an important draw.

John Ogu opened scoring in the 62′ minutes, putting the visitors in the drivers seat with pressure now heaped on Algeria who do not need a win to qualify but are playing for pride.

FC Porto’s Yacine Brahimi was quick to rescue the Desert Foxes of Algeria from the penalty spot with two minutes remaining to end the game.

The draw is arguably Nigeria’s best World Cup qualifier where they did not lose a single match, winning four and drawing two out of six matches.
