Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has warned Jose Mourinho, stating that he “will not forget” the barbs last week that escalated their spectacular war of words.
According to reports from Mirror Sport, the defiant Chelsea boss insisted he had no regrets after branding his opposite number at Manchester United “fake” and “a little man” as he responded to the Portuguese’s “match-fixing” jibes.
Both men have been criticised over the row but Conte said: “I have this look of a person who regrets? I don’t think so. I think we both said things and we will see what happens in the future.”
Asked whether the FA or the League Managers’ Association had intervened, Conte insisted there was no need.
The Italian has already insisted he wants to sort things out face to face when his team play United at Old Trafford on February 25.
Speaking ahead of the first leg of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal tomorrow night, he added: “I think it’s not important, the association, you understand. It’s not important.
