Arsenal Comeback Once To Win, As Everton Fumbles In Europa League Opener

Arsene Wenger’s men lived up to expectation in yesterday’s Europa League opener at the Emirates stadium after beating their guests by 3-1 to secure the maximum three points available for the match.

The match was delayed due to efforts put in place to control the crowd from Germany.

The visitors took the lead in the first-half, and that heaped a lot of pressure on Arsene Wenger’s men, but by second half Gunners were back to the game scoring three interesting goals that gave them the desired win to keep them on top.

In Italy, Everton failed to see the back of the net as Atalanta humiliated them after 90 minutes, 3-0 defeats was the scoreline and Koeman’s men who went high-spirited where more confused after the match.

The loss means Everton are the only English team to have lost in Europe in their opener, and it will compel them to go for a winning if they must make significant presence in the tournament.
