FC Barcelona have unveiled their 2016/2017 kits with the traditional blue and red stripes returning back to its vertical line style before its change by the Catalans.
The new kits which was presented today, shunned sponsorship deal with Qatar Foundation, as it is free of any kind of sponsorship deal in front. Barcelona and Qatar Foundation had a deal in 2012, allowing the foundation to strike a deal with the Catalan club where there brand is placed in front of their kits from 2013 till 2016.
Qatar Airways that have adorned Barca’s shirts since 2013, have not renewed their deal for next season, which is arguably the main reason behind the club’s lack of sponsor on the new shirt for the unveiling.
Lionel Messi, Neymar Jnr, Andres Iniesta and other players played in red and blue hooped shirts last season as they secured a La Liga and Copa del Rey double, but the club’s usual striped pattern will be adopted once more next season.
