Since the emergence of George Weah as the first African footballer of the year to become a President-elect of an African country, it becomes pertinent to find out if any other would join the feat accomplished by the Liberian.
Most recent African Footballer of the Mohammed Salah, was posed with the question in a post conference after he was announced the winner of the individual award for the year 2017 in Accra Ghana.
But the 25-year-old Liverpool forward was uncertain and was unable to provide an answer.
Salah who responded to a question from a Journalist during the event looked shocked and surprised, he saw himself having a mixture of laughter and shock and responding.
“I have not thought about that he said, and I am not sure I have it as part of my plans for now, only the future can tell” he told News men during the press conference.
The Liverpool forward who helped his country qualify for their first World Cup in 28 years happens to be the first African Footballer of the year to have emerged since George Weah was elected as President of Liberia.
