Cardiff Boss Justifies Rough Attack On Sane, Tells Angry Pep Guardiola “This Is England”

An obviously angry Pep Guardiola went onto the pitch after the final whistle was blown to lash out at ref Lee Mason following a rough attack made on Leroy Sane.

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has however hit back at Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola  over the tackles, and told the Catalan manager he should expect such tactics in English football. He claimed the visitors were guilty of a few “naughty” ones of their own.

“They dished out a bit as well,” Warnock said.

Mirror Sport reported the Cardiff manager to say “I think they had one or two naughty tackles. He’s in England, isn’t he? What do you expect? I suppose when you’re like that you want everything to be nice and pretty but you don’t get that in England. You get different challenges, don’t you?”

Bennett scythed down Sane just before half-time and received only a booking from Lee Mason.

He was eventually dismissed in second-half stoppage-time for another foul on sub Brahim Diaz.
