Cesc Fabregas Goal Puts Chelsea Six Points Clear On Premier League Table

Cesc Fabregas was the hero for the blues tonight as his first-half goal at the stadium of Light gave Chelsea the desired victory which puts them six points clear of Liverpool on the premier league table.

The host proved stubborn but the Spanish midfielder who scored the only goal of the match  steered the ball into the far corner of the net from the edge of the box, as the Blues recorded a 10th consecutive league victory this season under Antonio Conte.

It was indeed a hard fought battle and there was a big sigh of relief both for Chelsea fans and Fabregas himself following speculations that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is likely to offload him during the transfer window in January next year.

Although Liverpool won with high margin after beating their host (Middlesbrough) 3-0, but Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat of Sunderland geve them the maximum three points needed to remain on top of the table.
