Chelsea Kicks Off Champions League Campaign In Style

Premier league defending champions Chelsea have made a remarkable return to the uefa champions league after thrashing Qarabag 6-0 at the Stamford Bridge stadium yesterday.

Though Chelsea needed to win, but they rested their first team players and still thrashed their visitors with ease, in such a manner that suggests that they were ready to make their presence felt in the tournament.

Goals from Pedro (5′ min), Zappaocosta (30′ min), Azpilicueta (55′ min), Bakayoko (71′ min), Batshuayi (76′ min) and Medyedev’s own goal in the 82′ minutes was what did the damage, putting Chelsea on top of the table with maximum three points.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte understands the need for his side to win with a high margin, after Atletico Madrid and Roma played a goalless draw in Italy last night.
