Crystal Palace have broken their goal drought for this season, after scoring their first goal and getting their first win for this season following a 2-1 defeat of the Chelsea who are the defending champions of the premier league.
The defeat is Chelsea’s third loss this season and it becomes shameful because the blues are losing to a Crystal Palace side that failed to score a single goal in their last seven premier league games before playing Chelsea.
Chelsea players gave excuses for their 1-0 loss to league leaders Manchester City before the international break, but its obvious now that there is more to that loss as Conte’s men found it difficult to recover from a first-half win which eventually ended in favour of a Palace that was at the bottom of the table.
The win for Palace means Chelsea remains at 8th position on the table and are now in a tough position as they are tied on points with Arsenal, Burnley and Liverpool and also are nine points adrift league leaders Manchester City.
Conte will need to do something extraordinary with his squad otherwise his case will become like his previous successors who were all sacked despite winning significant titles for Chelsea.
