Manchester City play maker Kevin De Bruyne made his 38th league assist since his Man City debut in September 2015, and has moved four more than any other player in Europe’s big five leagues according to BBC Sport match statistics report.
The feat which was accomplished in City’s 3-0 victory over West Brom makes De Bruyne ahead of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jnr. and Mesut Ozil who all have 34 assists.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola who commented about the Belgian on BBC Sport said: “All season Kevin de Bruyne has played an outstanding level. If one of the best players runs like Kevin does, the rest follow him.”
De Brune who scored City’s second goal in the 68th minutes also emerged as the Man of the Match in the victory at Etihad.
The 26-year-old Belgian once shunned any effort made by individuals comparing him with Messi and Ronaldo as he believes all players are good and have their differeces.
