How Dele Alli Buried Chelsea’s Top Four Dream At Stamford Bridge

Dele Alli made his 100th premier league appearance on Sunday in an impressive manner, scoring a brace to ensure Spurs move eight points clear off Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Alli who scored in the 62nd and 66th minutes of the game after the scoreline remained 1-1 as at half time ensured Chelsea’s hope of closing the gap with his club is buried and makes his side maintain their fourth position while they now trail Liverpool with two points.

Dele Alli’s performance against Chelsea was as a reminder for his critics that as a young footballer it is possible for him to lose a bit of form or miss some chances,  but that does not mean he has lost his quality or class.

The technical ability know-how that Alli showed to score his first goal in Tottenham’s 3-1 win has always been there, even when things were not coming off for him in front of goal.

But the young chap scored twice within a space of  five minutes to prove a point, handing Spurs their ever win at Stamford Bridge since 10th February 1990.
