Eden Hazard scored a hat-trick as Chelsea demolished an ambitious Cardiff City by 4-1 in an encounter where the visitors took the lead first in the 16th minutes of play.
The victory means Chelsea are now back to the top of the table with 15 points having kept an unbeaten record in their five matches since the start of the season.
The newly promoted had high hope following their early lead but Hazard struck in the 37th minutes to equalized before scoring twice again in the 44th before the half time and another in the 80th minutes through a penalty.
The Belgian international is the fourth player to score more than one Premier League hat-trick for Chelsea after Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Hazard who seized the opportunity and turned Chelsea’s fortune around also emerged as the man of the match following an impressive performance in the game.
