England Dims Tunisia’s Hope of Grabbing Africa’s First Point

Late stunning header from England’s Harry Kane ensured England grabbed the maximum three points in a game that ended 2-1 in favour of the Three Lions with the result meaning Tunisia failing to grab a point in the game.

England took the lead in the 11th minute through Harry Kane but Sassi converted a 35th minutes penalty for Tunisia which levelled up the result and kept Africa’s hope of securing a draw alive.

That hope lasted until the 91st minutes when Kane who was assumed to be irrelevant by the Tunisia defenders nodded in to save England from a supposed draw which could have favoured the North African’s.

Tunisia were able to break the Russia jinx, becoming the first African team to score a goal in Russia, but were unable to grab a point in the match.

This means Tunisia will be looking up to win their next two matches to keep their hopes of qualifying alive just like Egypt, Morocco and Nigeria.
