FIFA Punish Maradona For Insulting Nigerian Fans

The World Governing Football body FIFA has stripped Diego Maradona off his ambassadorial role for insulting Nigerian fans in the match between Argentina and Nigeria.

The Argentine legend could not control his emotions during their 2-1 win over Nigeria in the World Cup last Group D game by raising his third finger on Nigerian fans from his stand when Marcos Rojo scored the winning goal.

FIFA sees his behavior as embarrassing and provocative hence he will no longer receive the £10,000 he was receiving from the world soccer governing body.

Diego Maradona as one of the soccer legends is expected to be a good ambassador and display a code of ethics in the world of football as a good example to the upcoming young players.

It is possible that a stadium ban is awaiting the former Argentine forward if he acts in the same manner he did against Nigeria..
