The ITU World Triathlon Grand Final is set to kick-start at the Broadwater Parklands from 12 – 16 September 2018 with huge support from the G:link tram in ensuring visitors have a smooth ride their period of sojourn.
In an event where 46 participating nations will be storming Gold Coast, more than 5,000 of the world’s best elite and age group triathletes will be on ground for the final race of the 2018 season.
According to information from the official website, G:link will effective from Sunday 16 September increase the 30min frequency to a 15min frequency from 3:15am – 5:00am, servicing from Broadbeach South to University Hospital stations only.
However, services from Helensvale will commence from 5:29am in respect to the usual time.
The organisers also expect users of the tram services to study the timetable and plan their trip on the G:link bearing in mind that services from Broadwater Parklands and Southport stations will be very busy. While passengers are advised to stay behind the yellow line on the platforms and follow the direction of G:link staff.
It is also expected that the Travel safe and stay hydrated policy in the Queensland sun will be supported with Water fountains which will be made available at various stations.
