Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has come out to advise Arsene Wenger following a 3-0 win against the Frenchman’s side which has made life more miserable for him.
Arsene Wenger watched his Arsenal empire which he has nurtured in the past 21 years crumble after City gave them a heavy back-to-back 3-0 defeat, the first of its kind in his coaching career but Pep feels the Frenchman should make the right decision.
There have been calls by pundits to have Arsenal legend Thierry Henry replace Wenger at the dug-out at Emirates but Guardiola believes the decision is still left for the French man to make.
Guardiola who spoke after the match believes that the decision of Arsene Wenger to hand over to club legend Thierry Henry is for him to make, he expects the Frenc man to make the right decision that would be in the best interest of the players and the club as a whole.
Thierry Henry is currently an assistant under Roberto Martinez with the Belgium national team, Henry has previously said it is his “dream” to manage Arsenal.
And he has a believer in his former manager at Barcelona as Guardiola believes Henry has the ability to succeed, should he want to step into the coach’s box.
Guardiola who was quoted by Goal.com to say “If he wants to be manager, he has the talent to do it,. “But he (Wenger) has to decide, not me.”
In the meantime, Guardiola has sympathy for the Gunners’ current boss as Wenger’s side have now lost four of their last five games in all competitions, with their seven 2018 defeats more than any other Premier League club.
