Super Eagles and Manchester City young star Kelechi Iheanacho says Pep Guardiola is introducing a different way of doing things at Manchester City Sky Sports reports.
The former Barcelona boss resumed duty at the Etihad Stadium on July 1st, five months after it was publicized that he would succeed Manuel Pellegrini in the City dugout.
Interestingly, Pellegrini was the man who handed Iheanacho his Premier League chance, but the Nigerian striker is now adjusting to the demands of the famously driven Spanish boss
‘Guardiola is a good manager, everyone knows that,’ Iheanacho told Sky Sports.
‘He’s bringing fresh thoughts and his own style. Everything is different and everyone is adapting to what he’s teaching us.’We need to understand what he’s telling us and what he wants to bring to the team.’
Manchester City struggled to finish fourth position under Manuel Pellegrini in his last season, but the Chilean took city to her first ever semifinal stage at the uefa champions league as well as winning the capital one cup, thereby giving an opportunity for Pep to improve on and set new standard for the oil-rich club.
Iheanacho who made a total of 35 appearances for Manchester City last season, scored 14 goals, after making his debut as a late substitute against Watford in August.
