The Chairman of the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Mr Patrick Emeter, has come out plainly to say that fear will not allow him play in the scheduled novelty football match between his Alumni and the IMSU Alumni on the 5th of August at the UNEC Stadium.
Mr. Emeter who had a chat with Sport Intelligence from Enugu confirmed that the match will hold as scheduled and was also optimistic that his side are ready to “deal” with IMSU Alumni in Enugu, but was also quick to say he will not play because of his fear for football.
“I am afraid of playing football, I have never played it and will not want to risk my legs against an IMSU Alumni that consist of vibrant young players” he told Sport Intelligence.
“Even when I was in secondary school,I played more of Lawn Tennis and avoided playing football, hence it will be difficult for me to play football now” he concluded.
When asked to react to the challenge made by the National Chairman of IMSU Alumni Enyioha Chris Anyanwu, who had earlier said he ( Chris Anyanwu) will be in the central-defense to stop anyone from the UNN Alumni from scoring, Mr. Emeter laughed loudly, and said, “I will be glad to challenge Enyioha Chris Anyanwu in a game of Lawn Tennis and not football, “If Chris Anyanwu is a good Sports man let him meet me at the Lawn Tennis court.
IMSU Alumni will face UNN Alumni on August 5th, 2017 at the UNEC stadium by 5pm in a novelty match scheduled as one of the programmes lined up for the 1st World Convention of the IMSU Alumni holding in Enugu from 4th-6th of August, 2017.
