Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has revealed that he joined the English side team because of the manager of the team Pep Guardiola.
The Brazilian was quoted by Mirror Sport to say: “I had a few offers to go to other clubs, and warmer places, but for me, the decision to come to Manchester City was all about playing under Pep Guardiola,”.
The Brazilian was further quoted to say: “However, when Mr. Guardiola called me as I was deciding where to sign, he told me that he was counting on me, and that I would be important to the future of City.
“That call was really important to me because it showed that he really cared about my future”.
According to the source, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a major fan of his, who has revealed to the Players’ Tribune that the Spaniard was the main reason for his decision to join City.
Gabriel Jesus has scored 17 goals in 35 games for the club, and has only been on the losing side once in matches he has featured in – the recent Champions League dead rubber against Shakhtar Donetsk.
