Swiss professional Tennis player Roger Federer said he has no intention of retiring after losing to Milos Raonic in the semi-finals at the Wimbledon 2016.
The defeat was his first defeat in 11 Wimbledon semi-final appearances for the seven-time champion.
After the defeat, the 34-year-old saluted all present in the various nooks and crannies of the Centre Court, and this immediately prompted speculations that he might be bidding farewell to the game for good.
He however clarified his actions when he said, “To be very clear for you, I hope to be back on Centre Court,” said the 17-time Grand Slam champion.
“It was a thanat’s what I was going through, not thinking that this might be my last Wimbledon.” He concluded.
