Super Eagles and Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has turned down an offer from French Ligue 1 champions Monaco according to report.Express reports that Kelechi Iheanacho was interested in moving to Monaco but said it can only be possible when he gets his British passport.”
The source further reported that “Monaco were ready to bid 35 million pounds for Iheanacho, they were in talks with his agent,” an intermediary told website AllNigeriaSoccer.”He was offered a four-year contract and would have been paid five million euros [£4.4m/ N1.7b] per season wages if he agreed the move.
Further reports disclosed that “He is joining Leicester City, but the club are delaying the announcement because of a dispute with his former agent.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s stay in Manchester City was threatened since the arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras in January and has since not gotten enough playing time.
The 20-year-old has since been heavily linked with a move away from Manchester, with Leicester City and Tottenham both keen.
