Lagos SWAN Visits Orphanage Home In Makoko, Lagos

The Lagos Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria recently paid a visit to the Nigerian Red Cross Society Motherless babies and abandoned children’s home located in Makoko Yaba of Lagos.

The visit which was made on Friday December 21, was led by the Chairman of the body Mr. Debo Oshundun in the spirit of sharing the joy of the Christmas season with the less privileged.

Debo Oshundun who officially presented gift items on behalf of SWAN to the less privileged home, expressed delight in Lagos SWAN’s desire to share the joys of the season with the less privileged and ensure that SWAN plays a significant role in putting a smile on their faces.

Lagos SWAN presented gift items ranging from bags of rice, detergents, drinks and other food items that would no doubt be of necessity to the children during the celebration in this Christmas season.

The Matron of the Nigerian Red Cross Society Mrs Taiwo Idowu, who received members of SWAN, thanked the Lagos Swan for their gesture and for also remembering the less privileged particularly in this period of celebration when they need to be shown love.
