Spanish giants Barcelona have been told that only £135million will get them near Philippe Coutinho in January, according to reports in Spain.
Mirror Sport reports that the Catalans are continuing their pursuit of the Anfield star, with Coutinho still their No.1 target to replace Andres Iniesta, the club captain now in the twilight of his career.
Barcelona saw three bids rejected during the summer transfer window, all of which were heavily-tailored around potential add-ons.
The Reds angrily rejected all three of the offers – the last of which was for a potential £119million – despite Coutinho handing in a transfer request.
Coutinho has scored four times for Liverpool since knuckling back down to life at Anfield following the close of the transfer window.
