Loading….Loading…. Loading…… Pep vs Mourinho In England What Will It Look Like?

Following the confirmation of the sack of Manchester United Manager Louis Van Gaal, the stage is now set for former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to come on board and meet his old friend and close rival Pep Guardiola, whom he once had a clash with while he had a stint with Real Madrid in Spain.

Head-to-head records favours the former Barcelona manager ahead of the former Chelsea boss. Both managers have met 16 times with Guardiola winning 8 times while Mourinho 3 times, the remaining 5 ended in a draw.

Mourinho defeated Guardiola once while he was manager at Inter Milan and twice in Spain while in charge of Madrid, while Pep defeated the Portuguese seven times while in charge of Barcelona and once while in charge of Bayern Munich in the uefa super cup while the Portuguese was in charge of Chelsea.

Both Managers are likely going to meet at least four times in the next two seasons, and this will give both managers an opportunity to continue their head-to-head count. While Pep will seek to increase his lead, Mourinho will seek to meet up with his arch-rival, who coincidentally is in charge of United’s arch-rival Manchester City.

  1. The two managers have a contrary style of play, but I still see Pep maintaining his lead in England
