Manchester City have made serious move to sign Riyad Mahrez after City boss disclosed that Leroy Sane will be out for up to seven weeks with his ankle injury.
Reports are confirming that City have carried out scans on Sane’s injury and although he has not torn his ankle ligaments, he will still be out until March, ruling him out of the Carabao Cup Final.
Man City boss who missed out on the signing of Alexis Sanchez is now faced with a tough moment following Sane’s injury which has now put the Catalan on his toes.
Pep Guardiola understands that City are currently at their peak and are closer to accomplishing a feat in the history of the club, lots of sacrifices and positive efforts need to be put in place, not to jeopardize their chances.
Although Leicester City boss Claude Puel has insisted Mahrez is not for sale, but City look set to test their resolve with a late bid.
