The 2018-2019 premier league season started off this weekend with eight wins recorded, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham, Bournemouth, Watford and Crystal Palace all claimed three points each in their opener.
United recorded their first home victory against Leicester City in a 2-1 win on Friday, while Tottenham who traveled to Newcastle on Saturday recorded a 2-1 victory over their host. Bournemouth welcomed newly promoted Cardiff to the premier league with a 2-0 victory.
Crystal Palace recorded an away 2-0 win over Fulham, while Chelsea who traveled to Huddersfield recorded a resounding 3-0 victory to establish Chelsea’s quest to return to top four under new manager.
Watford beat visiting Brighton by 2-0 to end the wins for Saturday, while Liverpool who are yet to clinch a title under Klopp recorded the highest win for all the openers played with a 4-0 smashing of visiting West Ham.
Arsenal started their post Wenger era with a 2-0 loss at home to defending champions Manchester City, under the tutelage of new manager Emery who has also failed to record a victory against Pep Guardiola in all competitions after 11 meetings.
The victories puts the 8 winners on three points each, with Liverpool being on top following a 4-0 victory, while Chelsea follow behind.
