Manchester City To Unveil Pep Guardiola In China Tour

According to Sunday Mirror Sport, Manchester City will move to the Far East this summer as part of the £265million deal that made investment giants China Media Capital buy a 13 per cent stake in the club last month.

Manchester City are planning to unveil Pep Guardiola during a pre-season tour in China. Manchester City believes that Guardiola will be installed as manager for a trip that is seen as vital to the club’s ambition to become the favourite team of a nation with a population of 1.35 billion.

City will play at least one game in Beijing,  and are also likely to visit Shanghai, site of CMC’s main headquarters.

The decision of City to employ Pep Guardiola is key to City’s long-term development plan to become one of the biggest clubs in the world,  both on and off the pitch.

The Spaniard’s left Bayern Munich to pursue his dream of testing his managerial skills in the Premier League and this has also afforded him an opportunity to  link up once again with City director of football Txiki Begiristain.

Together, the pair turned Barcelona into the best team in the world.
