Reports are confirming that Manchester United have banned Paul Pogba from playing basketball again and this is due to fears of the effects on his fitness and body.
The 24-year-old Frenchman is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury which he picked up during United’s 3-0 win over Basel in September.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has also admitted that the injury is a long-term one with Pogba unlikely to return for around six weeks.
Mirror Sport quoted Sun to say, United’s medical staff believe that the basketball is impacting on the player’s fitness and could lead to muscle strain or knee and ankle problems.
It was also reported by Mirror Sport that there are concerns over Pogba’s determination to use a personal trainer and his fitness regime.
Pogba is a huge NBA fan and has regularly been pictured shooting hoops in the past, particularly with teammate Romelu Lukaku last summer.
