Reports are confirming that Manchester United squad have moved out to Portugal as they get set for their big Champions League clash with Benfica according to Mirror Sport.
The source further disclosed that Jose Mourinho’s squad are hoping to make it three wins out of three in the group stages, which would put them in pole position to qualify for the knockout rounds.
United were held by Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, the first time that they have failed to score this season.
But United have an impressive record in the Champions League, scoring seven in their clashes with Basel and CSKA Moscow.
The squad appeared relaxed when they arrived at Manchester Airport on Monday afternoon, ready for their flight to Lisbon.
United midfielder Juan Mata is especially looking forward to the clash, as he says it brings back great memories of when he was able to lift the Champions League trophy with Chelsea.
“We are looking forward to extending our good run after getting six valuable points in the first two matches,” he said.
“Personally, Benfica brings back good memories for me.
