Jose Mourinho has considered the fact that the 2016/2017 season in the premiership would be a midfield battle, hence, he has approved that Manchester United go and get their former player Paul Pogba to Old Trafford. He has also offered his Italian club Juventus £60m for the talented midfielder in what would be a new club record transfer, according to reports from The Independent.
The Portuguese manager who will be at the dugout next season at Old Trafford, is also aware, that the strength of Pep’s team has always been the midfield. Hence, for Manchester United to make Pep Guardiola’s stay uncomfortable in the premier league, they need to fortify their midfield. Getting the creative Juventus midfielder is one option that must be considered.
The Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, is reported to have been “informally” put up for sale by his club, with the Italian champions looking to cash in on the France international to reinforce their squad elsewhere. There is high demand of Pogba by a number of clubs across Europe, but the Italian are in no rush to see Pogba leave the club, though it was claimed earlier this week that United were aware the Italian side were looking to sell him if the right offer was made.
Pogba arrived at Juventus in 2012 from United after a public falling out with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, but the Premier League side have remained interested in their former academy product, who made just three appearances in the top flight before heading to Italy on a free transfer.
