Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has come out to state why Alexis Sanchez is “struggling” at Manchester United after the Chilean was benched in United’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
According to Mirror Sport, Mourinho confirmed that Sanchez has been injured and his condition has not been right for some time, and this is also a reason as to why he’s struggled at Old Trafford.
The former Arsenal and Barca forward who arrived at the club in January following a swap deal with Arsenal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the opposite direction was also missing in United’s defeat to Juventus during the Champions League.
According to the source, it quoted Mourinho to say “In this moment he’s struggling because he’s injured and we come to the Chelsea match to try to help the team but his physical condition was not good and then he had to stop and was not available for Juventus and is not available for tomorrow again, so now is to be physically in the best conditions.
The source further confirmed that Sanchez would be missing for United’s clash against Everton on Sunday, explaining that the 29-year-old was suffering from an adductor problem.
