Nigeria 1-1 Senegal: Iheanacho Scores Late To Keep 40 Year Unbeaten Record Against Terenga Lions

The international friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Terenga Lions of Senegal ended in a 1-1 draw with Manchester City star Kelechi Iheanacho scoring late to give the Super Eagles a draw.

All goals were scored in the second half but it was Senegal who opened scoring in the 55th minutes when Moussa Sow scored the first goal of the match for the Lions, putting them in the drivers seat and pressure was heaped on the Super Eagles.

Rohr’s men were put under pressure by the one goal scored by the Lions, and they responded taking the game to the Senegalese side mounting pressure and seeking a goal, before there effort yielded a penalty which Kelechi Iheanacho converted in the 82nd minutes to give the Eagles a draw.

The draw ensures Nigeria keeps her 40 years unbeaten record against the Terenga Lions of Senegal who last beat Nigeria in 1977.
