The head coach of the Nigeria Table-tennis team at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Bello Nosiru has stated that his side will improve when they come out in their next match.
Nosiru who spoke exclusively with Sport Intelligence (www.sportintelligencemag.com) at the Gold Coast after his side recorded their first 3-1 victory against Malaysia in the men’s team category praised his boys for their outstanding performance.
He added that Omotayo Olajide, Abiodun Bode and Jamiu Azeez had lived up to expectations by getting the deserved victory but was quick to note that there is room for improvement.
When asked about the drop in performance of his team in the men’s double cateogory, Nosiru said: “The Malaysian side had more luck on their side in the men’s double”, but was also quick to state that his team would work on it ahead of their next match.
He added that not featuring Haruna was deliberate, to allow the young ones come up and they are living up to expectations.
The victory means Nigeria is among the nations who secured victory on their day one at the Gold Coast 2018, and it is a motivation for team Nigeria.
