In her words: “It was great, but it was different for me coming to a Games like this and not competing individually. At first, it was so boring as I love competing”.
“Coming here today was actually a great thing and I’m happy that I get to go on the podium.”
Okagbare who also commented Nigeria’s achievement at the event said:
“It’s not been really easy for the whole team, but we have strategy, vision and individuals who trust themselves and trust what they do. Coming here, we just go out there to be the best we can.
“When Nigeria’s Oluwatobiloba Amusan won that gold yesterday in women’s 100m hurdles final, it was huge for the country and huge for her career.”
She also added that she has been working hard to keep with her shape at the event, while she noted that she has been battling to get 100 per cent fitness from injuries.
