Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has opened the door to a January swoop for Alexis Sanchez after Gabriel Jesus was ruled out for up to two months.
City’s 18-match winning streak was ended after they failed to score for the first time in the Premier League as they drew at Crystal Palace yesterday.
The Premier League leaders also lost their Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus to a knee injury in the match, which saw him leave the field in tears and hobble out of Selhurst Park on crutches.
City tried to sign the Chilean in the summer, but the £60m bid failed after Arsenal could not find a replacement before the close of transfer.
When asked about City’s interest in Sanchez after Gabriel Jesus injury, Guardiola said: “He is a player from Arsenal and I think he is going to stay at Arsenal.
“Now it is just about recovering from today. Sometimes you ask for that but I have a lot of things in my mind Mirror Sport quoted Guardiola.
