Premier League leaders Manchester City will face the Anfield test on Sunday January 14 when they clash with Liverpool in week 23 of the premier league with both sides aiming to get a win, but City will be hoping to get their first win at Anfield in the past 14 years.
City demolished Liverpool in the first leg this season at Etihad Stadium by 5-0, putting the host under pressure to win or at least get a draw so as to save their pride in the premier league, and this could be the reason it would be difficult for City to get a win.
More so, a lot of premier league fans will also be looking up to Liverpool to help end the unbeaten record which Manchester City have enjoyed this season under Pep Guardiola, while it will also be an opportunity for both managers to meet again.
Sunday’s clash between the two clubs will be the 10th meeting of both managers after they first had their first encounter at the German Bundesliga between 2013 and 2015, with Pep Guardiola winning the Bundesliga title in all the period of his sojourn there.
City will be hoping to get their first win in the premier league at Anfield since May 2003, and possibly prove to fans that they are on course to win the premier league title in a convincingly manner, but its really going to be a tough one.
In fact, Pep Guardiola must be a Real Genius if he gets a win at Anfield on Sunday.
