Manchester City thrashed Swansea City 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium to maintain their 11 points lead on top and set a new record of becoming the first team to record the most consecutive wins (15) in the premier league history.
Though Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola had earlier said on BBC Sport that he was not interested in setting records with Manchester, but the fact remains that in winning, records must be created.
The defeat means Swansea City remain at the bottom of the table till their next match on December 18 when they face Everton in an away game.
David Silva who had an outstanding display in the midfield emerged as Man of the Match and the Spaniard further proved his worth by scoring two delightful goals in the match.
David Silva has also been involved in 13 Premier League goals in 17 games this season (five goals, eight assists) – already more than in the whole of 2016-17 (11 goal involvements in 34 games).
