Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will do at Manchester City exactly what he did at Barcelona , according to Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho.
Mirror Sport reports that Nou Camp legend Ronaldinho delivered an ominous warning, not just to the Premier League’s chasing pack, but to the rest of Europe too, following City’s stunning start to the season.
The 46-year-old manager has made his men to start playing some of the best football in Europe and Saturday’s win at Leicester was their 16th in a row.
Leicester City manager while speaking after the match told BBC Sport that “We know this team [City]. They are the best team in Europe. We started very well with good moves and good organisation. It was a good 30 or so minutes”.
City are already eight points clear of their nearest challengers, Manchester United, in the league.
They have won four out of four matches in the UEFA Group champions league, to cruise to the knockout stages with two games to spare.
Despite what looked like a poor performance to the former Barca Manager during his first year at the Etihad, Guardiola is now living up to the hype after revamping his squad during the summer, and bringing in players better-suited to his style.
That was first seen at Barcelona, where he transformed them into one of the greatest teams football has ever seen.
When the Brazilian legend was asked if Pep will bring similar success to the Etihad, Ronaldinho said: “I believe so.
Mirror Sport further quoted the legend to say :“As a player, he was already playing with a very technical mind, so he was playing as a coach, thinking about everything like a coach. So he has a deep knowledge of football.
The source further stated that“Wherever he goes, he understands much more than a normal coach. He understands the feeling on the field.”
Ronaldinho left Barca for AC Milan when Pep Guardiola took over as manager that summer.
