Phillipe Coutinho is keen and wants to leave Liverpool for Barcelona according to Sky Sports reporter Alex Hammond.
Neymar’s world record £200m departure from Camp Nou to Paris Saint-German has created a vacuum, hence, Liverpool star Coutinho is wanted by Barca to replace Neymar at the Nou Camp.
Hammond who spoke on this while presenting on Sky Sports News this morning said: “it’s our understanding he’d like to join Barcelona if a deal can be done amicably.
“We also understand Barcelona haven’t contacted Liverpool since their initial £72million offer was immediately rejected nearly three weeks ago.”
Her co-presenter Mike Wedderburn then added: “Liverpool’s stance throughout the window has been consistent – Coutinho is not for sale.
“We’ve been told he won’t try to force a transfer and Barcelona is the only club he’d leave Anfield for.”
