Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna has made a remarkable statement in the ongoing Seamaster 2018 ITTF World Tour Hong Kong Open after beating Japanese Yukiya Uda 4-3 to pursue his aim of coming to the event.
Quadri who is ranked 22nd in the World is playing for the first time in Hong Kong and will be looking forward to gather points and get a fair share of the $145,000 which the competition promises.
Quardi was quoted to say:”I’m very happy to play in Hong Kong Open. Its my first time in Hong Kong and I feel home because of the warm weather. I still have no chance to see the city but I like it very much already”.
“I am currently playing without a coach and I feel more relaxed and I’ve got used to it already. I look forward to see Hong Kong, he concluded”.
The victory means Quadri is through to the round of 16 where he will meet Portuguese Freitas Marcus who is currently ranked 15th today.
