African footballer of the year and Liverpool’s forward Mohamed Salah has been named Premier League player of the month for February after another stunning month for the Reds.
The Egyptian fired four goals and also made two impressive assists in three games for Jurgen Klopp’s side, as his displays helped them claim two wins and a draw from their matches.
He beat off competition from Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Mousa Dembele (Tottenham), Pascal Gross (Brighton & Hove Albion), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Glenn Murray (Brighton) and Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke City) in a public vote to land the award.
Salah, who will be available as Liverpool goes into action against bitter rivals Manchester United on Saturday, has scored 32 goals for the club since his arrival from Italian side Roma last summer.
The Egyptian will be looking up to make an impressive performance when his side travel to Old Trafford for the game tomorrow.
