Premier League defending Champions Manchester City have gone back to the top of the table following a devastating 6-1 thrashing of visiting Huddersfield Town at the Etihad Stadium yesterday.
Kun Aguero scored a hat-trick out of the six goals which City recorded which helped them move to the top of the table on goal difference despite being tied on points with Chelsea, Watford, Tottenham and Bournemouth.
With the hat-trick, Aguero now has nine Premier League hat-tricks and has level-up with former Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester City striker Robbie Fowler. Only ex-Blackburn and Newcastle forward Alan Shearer (11) has managed more.
The Argentine has scored 14 goals in his past eight league appearances for Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium and is at the verge of becoming all-time highest goal scorer of the club in premier league matches should he score 13 more goals before end of season.
City boss Pep Guardiola who spoke about the performance of the Argentine told BBC Sport that :”I never saw him like this since I was here,” “He is in an incredible condition with the ball and without the ball.”
