Renowned events planner and brand analyst Folashade Falokun has stated that Sports will be at the forefront when the 2019 edition of the Nigeria Future Leaders Festival takes place next year.
Falokun who spoke with newsmen during the 4th edition of the Nigeria Future Leaders Festival 2018, which took place at the Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports hall at the Teslim Balogun stadium said that the fifth edition must take a Sporty look.
According to her “Sports brings unity more and it is broader, and we are looking forward to ensuring that a Sport competition is included when the 5th edition is rolled out in 2019. This is also to give us an opportunity to discover talents in the area of Sports Falokun added.
The annual event which is organized by the events planner cum Sports administrator to mark the Children’s Day celebration took place this year on Monday May 28, owing to the fact that May 27th was a Sunday.
Falokun further appreciated the magnanimity of the Lagos State Ministry of Education who have been supportive towards the initiative since it started in 2015, as they have helped in mobilizing students from the public schools to take part in the annual event.
Falokun who has a knack for children’s welfare is also a product of the public school and has pledged her support towards ensuring that she would never give up on her quest towards putting smiles on the faces of children from the public schools.
According to her “I have found out that children from the public schools do not measure up in terms of having fun with their counter-parts from the private schools. Hence, putting this programme in place will give them that opportunity and we are looking forward to making it better, even though we also invited some privately owned schools for the event.
While responding to question on expansion of the event to other states, the fair-skinned beautiful woman first thanked all the corporate bodies who have been supportive in the event over the years, before stating that the size of sponsorship would play a major role in making their dreams of expanding the programme to other states possible.
“We want to really take the event in the future to other states and make it a national event, but the quality and size of the sponsorship would determine that. We hereby appeal to stake holders, corporate bodies and the media to be part of this dream” she concluded.
The Nigeria Future Leader Festival is an initiative which was conceived by Falokun, started in 2015 with the aim of promoting the welfare of our future leaders, the programme also plans to identify talents and make positive contributions towards youth development in the country.
