The final journey of the late former Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi, begins on Thursday as Africa and the rest of the world continues to mourn his death which happened last month.
In a statement issued by the family, the corpse of the late footballer will be taken to the St. Paul Catholic Church, Benin City by 9am on Thursday, July 28 for a farewell Mass, before it would be taken to the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium where a novelty match will be played in his honour.
Afterwards, it would be taken to Asaba in Delta state, where the former Governor of Delta State Emmanuel Uduaghan will receive the corpse at the stadium named after him along Nnebisi road.
After being received in Asaba, his body will move on to Illah, his country home, where the Obi of Illah, His Royal Highness Obi Gbemudu with his high chiefs will receive him.
The corpse of the late former Super Eagles coach will later be move to St John Catholic Church where a requiem Mass will hold, before his remains will be moved to his residence for an hour-long lying-in-state and followed by an internment at the same venue.
May the soul of the late Stephen Okechukwu Keshi find warmth in the bosom of the Lord.
