Swansea have for the first time since November 2017 moved out of the relegation zone after a shocking 3-1 victory against Arsenal at the Liberty stadium.
Swansea who recorded an impressive 1-0 victory against Liverpool in their last premier league match at the Liberty stadium, kept up with their good performance against Arsene Wenger’s side, making them to tie on point with Stoke City but move up on goal difference.
Though Gunners took the lead in 33′ minutes through Monreal’s goal, but Clucas equalizer in the 34th minutes leveled up the game before Petr Czech’s horrible mistake gave Jordan Ayew an opportunity to put the home side in the lead in the 61′ minutes and Clucas sealed victory for the home side in 86′.
The victory may not have affected Arsenal’s current position on the premier league table, but it could cripple their quest to finish top four in the premier league for the second time under Arsene Wenger.
So far under new boss Carlos Carvalhal, Swansea have now lost only once in eight games and victory over Arsenal was their second successive win against a team in the top six.
