The build up to the 2017-18 season is heating up with clubs in pre-season action – and the new campaign now just weeks away.
Manchester City Completes Signing of Danilo
Manchester City completed the signing of Danilo from Real Madrid for a sum of £26million after losing 2-0 to United in Houston in pre-season clash.
Pep Guardiola who has not finished yet with his signings is looking up to get Benjamin Mendy from French Ligue 1 champions Monaco.
Mendy is expected to arrive from Monaco, who are continuing to fend off interest in Kylian Mbappe.
Arsenal are continuing to do similar with Alexis Sanchez, who wants £500k-a-week to join PSG – a clear show that the Chilean only wants to move to the Etihad, for a reunion with Pep Guardiola.
PSG Insists On Neymar
Elsewhere, PSG are still in the race to get Neymar for a staggering £197m, while Barcelona themselves are set to return to Liverpool with an £80m offer for Philippe Coutinho – even as Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp declares his Merseyside love affair will continue.
Manchester United Jostle With Arsenal
With Arsenal fearful over the prospect of losing Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester City, Arsene Wenger has begun looking out for replacements.
The Frenchman has reportedly got his eye on Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio, who is keen for more first team football.
The Express report that Arsenal are desperate to sign the Spain Under-21 star, no matter the cost.
The report also suggests, however, that the Gunners could face competition from Manchester United.
