UEFA Champions League: Who Will Qualify Today To The Knock-Out Stage?

Eleven teams will start the fourth set of UEFA Champions League fixtures on 31 October and 1 November able to seal round of 16 places with two games to spare. UEFA.com explains the permutations.

  • Could qualify on matchday four: Manchester United, Basel, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern München, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Beşiktaş, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid.

Group A: Manchester United (9 points) v Benfica (0), Basel (6) v CSKA Moskva (3)

  • Man. United will qualify if they win and CSKA fail to beat Basel, or if United draw and CSKA lose.
  • Basel are through with a win if United avoid defeat.
  • CSKA will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose and United avoid defeat.
  • Benfica will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose and Basel avoid defeat, or if Benfica draw and Basel win.

Group B: Paris Saint-Germain (9) v Anderlecht (0), Celtic (3) v Bayern München (6)

  • Paris will qualify if they win and Celtic fail to beat Bayern, or if Paris draw and Celtic lose.
  • Bayern are through with a win if Paris avoid defeat.
  • Celtic will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose and Paris avoid defeat.
  • Anderlecht will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose and Bayern avoid defeat, or if Anderlecht draw and Bayern win.

Group C: Roma (5) v Chelsea (7), Atlético Madrid (2) v Qarabağ (1)

  • Chelsea are through with a win.
  • Qarabağ are out if they lose and Roma win.

Group D: Olympiacos (0) v Barcelona (9), Sporting CP (3) v Juventus (6)

  • Barcelona will qualify if they win and Juventus do not lose to Sporting, or if Barcelona draw and Sporting lose.
  • Juventus are through with a win if Barcelona avoid defeat.
  • Sporting will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose and Barcelona avoid defeat.
  • Olympiacos will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose and Juventus avoid defeat, or if Olympiacos draw and Juventus win.
