Venus Williams beat her sister Serena Williams in round three at the Indian Wells to put an end to her comeback after six months of having her child.
The former world number one had her serve broken four times as she lost 6-3 6-4 in California to her sister, who seem to have beefed up ahead of their meeting.
BBC Sport quoted the former number one to say: “I’ve a long way to go. It wasn’t easy, obviously,” said Serena, who was in her first event since beating Venus in the 2017 Australian Open final.
Venus Williams who emerged victorious in the game books a place to the round of 16, where she will now face Anastasija Sevastova in the tournament.
