Wenger Charges British Players To Take Responsibility For Club’s Failure

Arsene Wenger has challenged British players in Arsenal to take responsibility for the club’s future according to reports from the BBC Sports, this he said ahead of their FA Cup semifinal clash against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

The Gunners boss who is under heated criticism is yet to say whether he will sign a new contract to stay beyond this season. But Wenger believes the spirit he has created in 20 years at the club can live on without him.

According to Wenger, “It’s more natural for local players because they have been educated in Arsenal – players like Ramsey, Chamberlain,”. “They have to take charge.”

He further added that: “They should lead and take responsibility to say ‘yes, that is how we want to behave, this is how we want to play, let’s go together’.

“If they didn’t want it, that would be a huge disappointment.”

Arsenal will face Manchester City today in a match that could further decide the French managers fate.
