Arsene Wenger insists Alexis Sanchez is committed despite his dip in form Mirror Sport reports.
Sanchez has struggled as Arsenal have gone three league games without a win and that has reignited the debate over whether he should have been sold last summer.
Chile star Sanchez is out of contract this summer – along with Mesut Ozil – but Wenger does not doubt his misfiring striker.
Gunners boss Wenger said: “He is focused in training. It’s true that it doesn’t come off as much but he tries and fights.
“I can’t fault his attitude or commitment. When it doesn’t come off, maybe you try and force things too much.”
When asked if Sanchez and Manchester United target Ozil will be sold in January, Wenger said: “My vision and desire is they stay.
“I’m sure he (Ozil) will stay until the rest of the season and then the rest is open.”
